The St. Louis Metropolitan Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. was chartered in 1998, some 85 years after our sorority's founding. With a mission of reclamation and retention, the chartering members of Delta "Metro" set in motion a vision to seek out inactive Deltas and reunite in them the energy, spirit and pride of our great sisterhood. We stand upon the shoulders of our Founders, and seek to carry forth the positive contributions of the many Deltas who have gone before us. We acknowledge their determination and drive, and have taken an oath rededicating ourselves to keep the eternal torch of sisterhood, scholarship and service ever burning.

We are an African-centered chapter grounded in the spirit of sisterhood, focusing on community service and leadership development.

The St. Louis Metropolitan Alumnae Chapter is a member of the "Charismatic & Courageous" Central Region . The National Headquarters of Grand Chapter is located in Washington, D.C.
