Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. announced the selection of “The Help” as a red carpet feature film under its Project ART (Actively Redefining Together). Project ART is a major initiative which focuses on working collaboratively with the sorority’s more than 900 local chapters nationwide in supporting positive entertainment, while expressing concern for those art forms that promote harmful messages and negative stereotypes.

“The Help” is a great selection for the Delta red carpet feature film because it offers insight into the harsh reality of race relations in America, while also addressing relationships among all women, regardless of race,” said Louise Wilkerson, president of the St. Louis Metropolitan Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. Thirty chapter members viewed the movie together on August 13 in support of the movie.
